Description

This beginner-friendly class is designed to teach you the art of weaving from the ground up! No prior experience is needed—we’ll guide you through every step, from setting up the loom to basic techniques. Once you’ve built a solid foundation, you’ll have the skills and confidence to take off on your own and create a variety of handwoven projects. This session will be utilizing table looms, the same project will be made, just on a smaller loom. The skills learned in this session will carry over to a floor loom for the future. Supplies may be used at AAI based on availability, including fiber. Supplies can be purchased at Yellow City Fibers: Heddle Hook (3) - 1/2lb cone of 8/2 cotton fiber in your color choice, or more if you want more colors. (can be purchased after the first class) (1) light color, (1) medium color (1) dark color Measuring tape Fabric Scissors Also Needed: Tote bag (or backpack) Notebook/pen
