Double Weave and Fiber Dye

This workshop is broken into two segments, you can sign up for one, the other or both! We will be going over dying fibers, and dying cotton yarn for ½ day on day 1 and ½ day on day 2. All materials will be provided. The second segment will be Double Weave. We will arrange that as a “round robin” which means that different looms will be set up for different types of Double Weave projects. Weavers will take turns weaving a sample on each loom. Of course, there will be a short lecture in the morning and right after lunch as there was last time, and a notebook for everyone. Despite the fact that weavers will be weaving samples, we will put on long enough warps so that weavers who want to could also weave the full-sized project. Mary Berry will provide pre-made warps for the looms AND do a demonstration on how to prepare a warp for a Double Weave project. Currently only accepting deposits for any segment of the workshop.
